Riverside uses the Wire EDM process to cut keyways in gears. The EDM process is superior to pulling a keyway. It produces keyways with a high degree of accuracy on size and bottom radii. CNC EDM allows for significant accuracy of Keyway timing with other part features and multiple keyways.
