Our Grinding Center consists of (2) CNC OD grinders, (5) manual OD grinders, (7) ID grinders, (2) Blanchard Grinders, and multiple surface grinders. Just as in the case in requiring a quality blank off of our turning centers to cut a quality gear this is also the case when it comes to gear grinding.
Riverside Spline & Gear has done its own precision grinding dating back to the late 1960's. It is a strength and complement to our operation and allows our team to control one of the most important processes in our operation. Our precision cylindrical grinding, bore grinding and face grinding operations assure excellent blank quality. This allows us to produce gearing to AGMA Q15, DIN 2 and AGMA A2 requirement.
Starting in December of 2022, Riverside added its first of two (2) CNC OD Grinders to help with higher quantity projects. Today we have (2) Toyoda CNC OD Grinders operating 10 hours a day. Our Toyoda Select G-100 II and New Toyoda GL4A-5011 CNC OD Grinder have been a great complement to our Grinding Center. In 2024 we have added a Springfield Vertical Grinder for our larger bore and face grinding. It has a 54 inch diameter capacity allowing bore and face grinding of our larger 1.5 meter gearing to be done in house to Riverside's standards.
